Dysregulation of SMAD4, LINC00667 and LINC00909 could be used as effective diagnostic markers in breast cancer incidence
This study investigated the expression of SMAD4, LINC00909, and LINC00667 in 25 paired breast cancer and normal tissues using qRT-PCR to explore their regulatory relationships and potential as diagnostic biomarkers for breast cancer.

Breast cancer is considered a life-threatening disease among females globally which early diagnosis and treatment in the initial stages can be very effective. SMAD4 is a key regulator of TGF-β pathway that is known to play an essential role in breast cancer. Long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) are considered to be potential regulatory factors for several cancers that are not de nite about the main role of two LncRNAs, LINC00909 and LINC00667, on breast cancer.
In this study, we focus on identifying the possible correlation between expression levels of SMAD4 gene, LINC00909 and LINC00667 in breast carcinoma, as well as their potential roles in the diagnosis of breast cancer. To determine the extent of expression of these factors in 25 paired tumor-normal patient tissues, quantitative real-time PCR (polymerase chain reaction) was used.
